Are to introduce the candidate trainers to the techniques of teaching diving skills in the water and to the expansion of theory with preparation techniques and lecture giving. The whole structure of this program is based on programs an Assistant Instructor can teach. The degree of an Assistant Instructor completes the first part of the Instructor Development Course (IDC), in the process of training trainers. Therefore, the Assistant Instructor graduates may continue the second part of the program whenever they wish, which is PADI Open Water Instructor Course.
The PADI Assistant Instructor Course focuses mainly on teaching and developing the candidates at trainer’s level and so much on their evaluation, for which specific rules and tests apply.
It’s more a business seminar and not like an evaluation scale.
Independent studying and preparation of the work-book before the program begins.
6 theoretical seminars PADI System presentation
The candidates must prepare at least 2 seminars with the a theory subject
2 Confined Water skills seminars And carry out at least one lesson (teaching) in open water for two scuba skills. Also, they will be evaluated on the presentation of their 20 scuba skills and on a theoretical test about PADI Systems and Standards.
Included in the price are the following:
Diving Equipment during training and all of Athina Diving Center’s amenities can be used for free during training. (Free private parking, Wi-Fi Internet, W.C., showers, protection of personal belongings).
The diving exercises for the confined water and 20 skill training are carried out at sea in shallow, confined waters on the beach in front of the dive center.
*PADI IDC takes place on the same beach.
Prices are set by PADI for members, regarding the purchase of things needed for the Assistant Instructor course. (Work-book, Instructor Manual book or CD-Grommet)
